Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind: A Review

This movie challenges its audience in a way most other films fail to even try. It explores the uncomfortable and hard truths of life, such as how happiness isn’t entirely defined as pure joy, or how loving someone sometimes means knowing that it’ll eventually end in heartbreak an apathy. It asks the audience the hard question of “if you could lose the memories that once brought you solace but now bring you sorrow, would you do it? Is misery’s departure worth the sacrifice of forgetting the person you once held most dear?” It’s a brilliant film with phenomenal themes that transcend the screen and truly impact the audience. It’s an exploration of what it means to love and live and be happy and experience pain. It’s one of the greatest films of all time.

If you haven’t yet watched this masterpiece of a film, I cannot stress enough how much of an experience you’re missing out on — especially if you know what it’s like to lose someone you once loved.
